The To House is an extension and renovation of an existing residential building made in the 60’s in a remote highland location in Trabzon. The main inputs of the design process was the existing structural condition of the building and the serene landscape. The existing concrete structure was preserved, renovated and restructured to keep the memory of the place. Nevertheless the comprehensive extension of the building required for a new language to adapt to the surrounding landscape, which took its inspiration from the local building practices, and fused it with the existing building.
